Landslip
Landslide on the slope of the Allt Mhor valley in the Glen More Forest, in the Cairngorms National Park.
The exposed soil is glacial boulder clay, part of extensive moraines (glacial deposits) left behind after the ice age.
This type of soil is favoured by the native Caledonian Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) forest seen growing above. Photographed in June.
