Raised Beach

The Isle of Jura is justly famous for its geological examples, including many raised beaches like this one, which lies about 100 feet above sea level and extends over half a kilometre inland.
This raised beach and sandy bay are at Traigh nam Feannag, near Inver on the west coast, looking to the Paps of Jura.
On the left is Beinn an Oir (785 metres) and on the right Beinn Chaolais (733 metres).

Location: Isle of Jura, Scotland.
