Lupins

Nootka Lupins, Lupinus nootkatensis, growing on shingle on the bank of the River Spey at Aviemore, in the Cairngorms.
This plant is native to Canada but is well established in parts of the UK, preferring river shingle habitats. Photographed in the Scottish Highlands, in June.
